White Hart Lane, 1899 - 2017

£2,200.00

White Hart Lane, Tottenham - known and loved by Spurs fans far and wide. This was the treasured home of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club from 1899 - 2017, a great 118 years. This drawing captures a snapshot in time. The bright white wording of 'Tottenham Hotspur Football Club' proudly dominates the facade of the West Stand, sitting on top of the corrugated iron walls which covered the stadium in the early days. The iron gates stood throughout the history of White Hart Lane and will be remembered by many as the gateway into all the Spurs matches over the years.

I absolutely loved the challenge of this drawing. I used a number of different historical photographs to find the details and features I needed to enable me to capture the exact scene I had in mind. It felt like a real privilege to draw a ground which meant and still means so much to so many.

This original piece was drawn using ink and pen on Bristol paper. It is mounted on a high float resting on a ‘snow white’ board to compliment the Bristol paper. It is framed with a slim black wooden frame. The glass used in the frame is anti-reflective AR70 to both protect and preserve the drawing, and also ensure the highest quality visual experience with very little reflection or glare to distract the eye.

Paper size: W 65cm H50cm

Frame size: W 74cm H 58.5cm

Please note that delivery is available to postcodes N2, N6 N8, N10, N11 and N22 only. Alternatively we can arrange collection from my Muswell Hill based Studio.
