St James's Lane, Muswell Hill
This pretty Lane in Muswell Hill has stunning views in both directions. St James Church watches over this beautiful steep curved road which leads down to an old railway bridge at the bottom. I chose to draw this view to capture the church, the colourful Autumnal trees and the red brick Edwardian houses - all the things we love about Muswell Hill!
My aim with this drawing was to bring out the warm colours in the brick and stone and also the greens and browns in the autumn trees which beautifully decorate this much-loved street.
This original piece was drawn using ink and pencil on Fabriano Aquarello watercolour paper. It is mounted on a high float, resting on a ‘minuet’ board to compliment the fabriano paper. It is framed with a slim black wooden frame. The glass used in the frame is anti-reflective AR70 to both protect and preserve the drawing, and also ensure the highest quality visual experience with very little reflection or glare to distract the eye.
Paper size: W 42cm H 59.4cm
Frame size: W 50.5cm H 68cm
Please note that delivery is available to postcodes N2, N6 N8, N10, N11 and N22 only. Alternatively we can arrange collection from my Muswell Hill based Studio.
‘St James’ Lane’ will also be available to buy at Highgate Art Fair on 7th/8th and 9th November. Please contact for further information.
