The Archer, East Finchley

from £35.00

The East Finchley Archer (affectionately known as Archie by locals) was created by sculptor Eric Aumonier and unveiled in 1940. The Archer flies his bow on one knee on top of the beautiful art deco East Finchley Tube Station. He is twice the size of an average man and armoured in sheet lead. The Archer is such a fabulous symbol of East Finchley and admired with fondness by the local community and beyond. This drawing, a section taken from Hilary’s East Finchley Tube Station piece, shows off in closer detail the Archer himself and the fabulous art deco windows which make this building so special.

This piece was drawn using ink and pencil. This is a portrait, unframed giclee print. This drawing is printed on premium photo rag paper (300gsm), providing a high quality, archival piece of art at an affordable price. It is available in 4 sizes: 8”x6”, A4 (297mm x 210mm), A3 (420mm x 297mm) and A2 (594mm x 420mm).

Prints are sized to fit standard frames. Framed options are available to N2, N6, N8, N10, N11 and N22 residents. Please email hilarysketches@gmail.com for more information.
