Hampstead Pergola (limited edition)

£120.00

Hampstead Pergola is undoubtedly one of London’s hidden treasures. Essentially a beautiful walkway sitting amidst incredible gardens on Hampstead Heath, it is a tranquil escape for city dwellers. This wonderful structure is steeped in character and pretty in all seasons, largely overgrown with vines and exotic flowers.

The history of the Pergola dates back to 1904 when Lord Leverhulme purchased a townhouse on the Heath called ‘The Hill’ and proceeded to acquire the surrounding land where he built a legacy: his Pergola. Even to this day, with a sense of faded grandeur, it hasn’t lost its magic and character. A truly wonderful London gem.

I used ink and pencil for this drawing to bring out the vibrant colours in the vines and trees and the warmth in the stone and brickwork.

This is a portrait, unframed giclee print. This drawing is printed on premium Hahnemuhle photo rag paper (308gsm).

Edition of 100 in one size: 29.7cm x 42cm
