Daunt Books in Hampstead sits in a beautiful location on the very edge of Hampstead Heath. I walked past this window a few months ago and knew instantly that I wanted to draw it. The vibrant colours and shapes of the books and decor inside coupled with the beautiful wooden arched window frames make this shopfront an absolute feast for the eyes.
Daunt Books is a favourite independent bookshop for many Londoners with stores in Holland Park, Cheapside, Hampstead and Belsize Park. Each location is as stunning as the next both inside and out. A book lovers dream! I used ink and pencil for this drawing. My aim was to capture the magic of this delightful shopfront whilst giving a little hint of the treasures that await inside.
